Versace #BadAss Baubles: VERSACE to launch Atelier Jewelry Collection

On Monday, Versace announced that their Atelier Jewelry collection is to be revealed at the Ritz Paris on July 1st during their Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 fashion show. The collection contains a variety of hand-sculpted, mounted stones including diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, yellow diamonds and aquamarine.

Donatella Versace was inspired by the same high quality craftsmanship the goes into creating her very own Atelier Versace fashion line – seeing each separate piece as a work of art, which by the way, won’t be replicated. Another similarity to the clothing line is the target demographic –discerning couture clients. If fact, the line will be available for purchase by appointment only.

If you live in Paris or are willing to travel there to style stalk outside the highly anticipated event, the show will be held from 7:30-8:30 in the Ritz’s Salon Vendôme. Versace is no stranger to the venue though –they’ve held a bunch of runway shows there in the past. Donatella has hosted shows all over the world, but always seems to come back to the Ritz. The venue holds a special place in her heart, as she shared many memories there with his brother who passed away. The July 1st show will be one of the last to have models strut down the runway until after their restoration project is completed. The renovation is scheduled to start on July 31st.

Celebrities love Versace and they continually put their faith in the company to make them look stunning on the red carpet. Wearers include, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lea Michele, Uma Thurman and Lady Gaga.

Although images of the collection haven’t surfaced yet, if it’s coming from Versace it’s bound to be magnificent. Keep an eye out for the line after the July 1st show.
