Rachel Zoe, you wont be surprised by the looks produced in her new collection for Spring 2013. In it, we see the put together, boho-chic style that the stylist-turned-reality TV star-turned designer is known for. And while we can certainly picture Rachel herself in these garments, we think that they embody a look that many women will love. Zoes combination of street style with LA glam produces easy, polished looks for the everyday woman, whether shes headed to work, cocktail hour, or a shopping date on Rodeo Drive.
Much of Zoes collection is made up of the classic contrast of black and white. The timeless color combination is presented in both solid pieces and color blocked garments, resulting in looks that we predict will transcend trends for decades to come. A good example of this can be seen in the pleated white maxi dress, that, paired with black trim and an oversized floppy hat, manages to make even a fanny pack look cool. Zoe knows how to make a statement in this minimalist palette: silhouettes and color blocking are key, and accessories complete the look. Another one we love is the wide-leg trousers paired with a tailored jacket and black fedora, as well the baby doll mini dress with mod colorblocking, knee-high boots, and oversized sun hat.
The color-infused portion of Zoes collection includes pale blushes, blues and greys, with a few bright hues like green, orange, and teal thrown in, just for good measure. Slender trousers, cropped jackets, and Bermuda shorts are prominent in the collection, with sequins added for a glam touch. One floor-sweeping maxi dress in particular reminds us of a style weve seen Zoe herself wear to a formal event on her self-titled show. For a more casual, everyday look, jumpers are prevalent in several different materials. We could easily see these being paired with one of Zoes jackets, hats, or belts to achieve several different looks that would be appropriate for an array of events.
