Michele, a self-proclaimed L’Oréal consumer herself, is pleasantly surprised to be given the honor of appearing in ads for the beauty giant. “Growing up I was never really considered the typical beauty,” she told WWD, “So the fact that I’m now the face of such an incredible company and brand is so awesome.” The 26-year-old actress is of Spanish and Italian descent, and thinks that her roots will help connect the brand with users around the globe. “I think I have a type of look that is very relatable, that’s different and unique that girls can look at and say ‘I feel like I look like her,’” she said.
