A Rastafarian hairstyle with a long, rich history stemming back to Ancient Greece and popularized proudly in Jamaica. Its done by roping/twisting the hair, backcombing it, and allowing it to knot up naturally. Dreads are often long though shorter dreadlocks close to the scalp are also possible.
