Label Love: CAROLEE Look for Less, Mad Men

Madmen Label Love: CAROLEE Look for Less, Mad Men
The season premiere of Mad Men was definitely well worth the wait… I know I was glued to the screen when Megan began her rendition of “Zou Bisou Bisou” and created possibly the most awkward birthday moment in television history. There was one point where Don Draper looked more uncomfortable than Supreme Court justices in a strip joint. Personally, my favorite moment was when Megan began angry cleaning in lingerie and told Don he doesn’t “like nice things.” Crazy floor sex ensues and end scene.

Before the Zou Bisou madness, we got a glimpse at most of the fabulous cast dressed to the nines for the party, including Trudy Campell (Pete’s wife) and Ken’s date. Both were wearing adorable ultra-sixties outfits with jewelry to die for. If you want to steal this look without breaking the bank, Carolee helps you get the Mad Men look for less. Grab earrings just like Trudy’s for a mere $45 or the cluster drop earrings on Ken’s date for $32.

More of a “Joan” when it comes to style? Speaking of Joan, wouldn’t we all like to show up at work looking that amazing after having a baby? I still have so many issues with the fact that Roger left his wife for stupid Jane and not Joan… but I digress. If you managed to take your eyes off the fuscia dress, you may have noticed the super-cute turquoise earrings. You can also get those for 50 bucks. Plus, they’re clip-ons so they won’t pull your ear lobes down to your collar bone.

You may not have a professional styling team, hair and makeup artist, or a several-thousand dollar budget, but you can still easily add a dash of Mad Men to your ensemble with a few simple accessories. And a mastery of cat-eye liquid liner.
