Manicure & Pedicure Care

Taking care of your hands and feet is not a luxury; it’s a must-have service to always look your best! Salon Deauville has a team of experts exclusively devoted to buffing, shaping and smoothing the skin of your hands and feet, and then adding the nail polish or gel of your choice to beautify your every gesture.

Our manicure and pedicure staff in Montreal work with only the highest-quality nail brands and products on the market, including Bio Sculpture, Essie, OPI, Orly and more. Some terms to know before you book your nailcare service at our salon:
Regular manicure. One of the most popular manicures, a standard manicure consists of trimming, shaping, filing and buffing your nails. Your cuticles may either be trimmed or conditioned using cuticle oil treatment. No need to choose nail polish if you don’t want (since your hands will look great without it).
Russian Manicure. The technique originated in Russia and is also known as a dry or e-file manicure. This manicure lasts longer because of how the technician preps the nail before they apply the polish and how they clean the cuticle. A trained technician uses an electronic file to remove excess skin surrounding the nailbed to achieve a clean finish. You can think of the entire process as a cuticle exfoliant and treatment.
Deluxe manicure. This luxurious service consists of a more in-depth look and treatment of your hands and nails along with multiple moisturizing treatments for both skin and nails, heat wrap, massage and a more detailed approach to your nail, nail bed and cuticles. You’ll leave with beautiful hands and that relaxed post-spa vibe.
Shellac manicure. A trademark name created by the nail company that created it, a Shellac manicure is basically a hybrid of gel and regular nail polish. A Shellac manicure is hardened and cured with an LED lamp, providing long-lasting wear and barely any dry time. Because a Shellac manicure is softer than gel, it’s more easily removed with acetone.
Gel manicure. Gel manicures are not exclusive to one brand like Shellac. A gel manicure is made up of acrylic monomers and oligomers that are bonded together when placed under a UV light. A gel manicure can be shaped and sculpted to your nail like acrylic, with a finish that is glossier and thicker than Shellac. It is strongly suggested you remove your gel manicure at a salon (unlike Shellac, which can be removed at home).
Acrylic nails. Acrylic nails tend to be the most durable of the artificial nail options but do require a serious soak in acetone to remove. They consist of a mix of powder and liquid monomer that’s shaped onto your nails with a brush and then air-dried. With acrylic, you can add length and create shape. With that said, it can be the more damaging of the nail options in the long run. (Some prefer gel nails throughout the year and save up applying acrylic nails for special occasions.)
Nail design/nail art. This is where our manicurists really shine! The nail art we create at our Montreal salon, inspired by the latest in nail art trends and is a perfect add-on to your manicure. Two-tone, marble, polka dots, floral, sunset, splatter, French, leopard print…whatever you dream, we can design. Perfect for the holidays or special occasions.
Paraffin treatment. If you’re looking for a luxurious and sensually rich experience, this deep heat therapy awaits you. Liquified paraffin wax not only increases circulation to the skin but also relieves pain and stiffness (great for those with arthritis or fibromyalgia). Paraffin also opens up pores and seals in moisture in the skin.
