Heard she was a model for a year in a half (literally)–then debuted her Designer Rachel Comey, self-titled brand as a menswear line, and she inevitably sold through Barneys. Then her gangsta changed directions, and women took to her swag. They started buying pieces of her collection in smaller sizes and wearing them to piss of their boyfriends.
Comey can take a cue, and that she did. How do we say–she monetized the madness and launched a womenswear collection to feed the drove-y cults in 2003. Her aesthetic is very much so vintage-inspired and rocked out with cutting edge details that stamper her work with popularity and fever among the young “it” crowd. Here’s to two double shots of Patron, for since the line’s inception, Comey has even added a footwear line to the mix. To put this baby to work, grab it here for $595: Rachel Comey
