Obakki is a women’s luxury clothing brand founded by Treana Peake. Both designed and made in Vancouver, Peake’s simple designs are what makes her stand out in the fashion industry and serve as visual evidence to affirm the idea that “less is more.”
Outside the designing world, Treana is a highly active participating citizen. In 2009 she started the Obakki Foundation, which has raised thousands of dollars to date. This foundation helps work towards developing education and cleaner water. Treana synthesizes her love of fashion and good-hearted nature to make a change in the world.
In her spring/summer 2012 collection, you can find many elegantly draped dresses and tops, all in a very sophisticated neutral color palate. These designs haven’t any need for bright colors or patterns, they are already extremely unique in themselves. The collection symbolizes the exact idea’s of summer; easy living, careless, and free.
