After 10 years, the annual Bogart Wine Aficionado Dinner in Los Angeles will host its final event on May 10: a decadent four-course meal paired with 10 important wines for just 160 guests. The dinner ($1,250 per person) will begin with Champagne and appetizers at the Bazaar by José Andrés in the SLS Hotel, and though the chef is still finalizing the menu, it’s safe to say that Andrés’ sumptuous Spanish cuisine, paired with rare and important vintages from Colgin, Araujo, and Vérité, should not disappoint.
Following the dinner, there will be a live auction at which guests can bid on collections of rare wines; VIP accommodations at Meadowood resort in Napa Valley and a private tasting at Colgin Cellars; and a seat on Robb Report’s annual “Car of the Year” panel, among other prizes. Vintner Ann Colgin of Colgin Cellars will be honored for her support of the Bogart cancer research labs at Children’s Hospital L.A., for which the annual dinners have raised more than $2 million over the past decade.
