For its 100-year anniversary, Kempinski’s Stafford London hotel has created an over-the-top offer to spend three nights in its duplex or penthouse suite and discover the best Great Britain has to offer, from tailored clothing to jewelry and more. With the hefty price tag of $160,000, the all-inclusive package for two (available through the end of the year) brings authentic British heritage to life.
A private chauffeur will take guests on an extravagant shopping trip that includes one-on-one meetings with some of London’s exclusive purveyors of fashion and accessories. It includes a bespoke suit from Savile Row tailor Henry Poole, a custom hat at Lock & Co., and a custom piece of jewelry at Patrick Wyatt. Guests will have a private sitting with famous British photographer Alistair Morrison (whose photographs appear in the National Portrait Gallery) to capture their image during a memorable London weekend.
Foodies will relish more than $15,000 to spend on food and rare wines at the Stafford’s two historic restaurants, the Lyttelton Restaurant and the American Bar, and dinner in the hotel’s 380-year-old wine cellars. There are also special souvenirs to take home: London’s famous Mahiki bar will present each couple with a 24-karat gold-plated treasure chest containing Pusser’s Trafalgar limited-edition rum, aged for 15 years, and a bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne (worth $4,800). For those who’d prefer their drinks with a view, the hotel will take guests on the London Eye to enjoy a bottle of Champagne or cocktails. Of course, a boat cruise on the Thames and high tea are among the many activities during a jam-packed weekend of London sightseeing and fun. (+44. 207.493.0111, www.kempinski.com)
