My thoughts on Human Rights Dated Back:

December 10, 2011 – Human rights organizations around the world are celebrating the 63rd anniversary of The Universal Declaration of Humans Rights. The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is throwing a virtual human rights celebration where individuals can make a wish for one of the thirty articles include in the Declaration.

Sixty-three years ago today, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was created as “a road map to guarantee the rights of every individual everywhere” (un.org). Today, we remember what binds us together: we are human. The differences in our skin color, economic situation, religion, language, and geographic location fade away, and today, we focus on that fact that we are all living the human experience. We all feel anger and loneliness, and we also share in the emotions of comfort and love. Today, we celebrate the rights not that we have earned but the rights that are innately ours, because we are human.

Kimberly Stone, humanitarian and founder of POSHGLAM, a site that caters to new luxury brands and talented emergent designers with a focus on philanthropic brands and designers, joined the OHCHR festivities and wished for “A world where people don’t suffer from attacks on their human rights, and where people can be free to live their lives according to free choice and God’s will.” Kimberly is a firm supporter for human rights and believes “human rights are what bring the human race together in love and compassion for fellow human beings.”
