Who says fashion can’t help make the world a better place? Bridget and Meghan Torregrossa, two fashion forward sisters, say it can. The gals have synthesized their creative skills to give back to families in need. The duo has teamed up with Ronald McDonald House to bring the Handbags for Hope Event back for a second year. The event will be held on August 7th at the Ronald McDonald House in New York. Guests will enjoy cocktails and a handbag auction, all to benefit the charity. Bridget and Meghan will both be present at the event, where they will be donating bags from their latest line, including a tote bag that was designed especially for RMH. The tote is a creamy color with sketch-like details and includes the Ronald McDonald House logo. On the bottom of the bag reads “Handbags for Hope.” The Torregrossa sisters launched Torregrossa Fashions back in 2010 in New York City, where they both attended college; Bridget, Marymount Manhattan and Meghan FIT, they strive to blur the gap between high end and less expensive labels, while keeping quality as their highest priority.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a second home for thousands of families with children that are hospitalized due to illness. It’s a place for people of all walks of life to come together to support one another in their time of need, fostering a sense of community for all of the families. RMH strives to “be part of that change and part of the solution in improving the lives of children and their families by providing programs that strengthen families during their most difficult or challenging times.”
